Here are some of the most popular cities in Japan, from North to South:

Otaru, Sapporo, Sendai, Kanazawa, Narita, Tokyo,
Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Wakayama, (Kansai Airport), Tokushima, Hiroshima and Fukuoka.

Japan is divided into four segments of land, again from top to bottom:

Hokkaido, the small block in the North.

Honshu, the main body of land, containing Tokyo and Osaka areas.

Shikoku, the small island located under Osaka and Hiroshima (where WE are) cities, containing Tokushima.

Kyushu, with Fukuoka, the bottom block of land to the South West.

Also is Okinawa, which is not included in this map. It is located further south and is another island of Japan.
